Garden table and chairs are normally the first item of garden or patio furniture we buy. It is nice to spend time outdoors if we get the opportunity and our first port of call is to bring our tea or glass of wine out to the patio area and relax.

 

When we think of garden chairs we immediately imagine a patio table with 4,6 or 8 chairs crowded around it. However there are many novelty chairs like the one pictured which do not fall into the above visualisation of a garden chair.

 

It has been my belief that even with the wide range of garden and patio furniture on the British market today, that a similarly broad range of furniture covers existed, so that you would always find one to fit your particular furniture.

 

In the case of the chair pictured I strongly doubt that you would find a cover to exactly fit this chair.

 

However for it's novelty value alone it is a fine piece of garden furniture

The image to the right is a more conventional garden table and chairs than the previous image. It is your straight forward dining set with capacity to seat eight.

 

Granted it is photographed either on one of our infrequent British sunny days, or the picture was taken somewhere else. But the image certainly is a standard patio furniture set.

 

Such a set looks spectacular when new, but if not maintained or stored properly, it will lose a lot of that look in a period of time. In order to maintain it's looks for longer, a proper maintenance programme of cleaning and sealing should be undertaken.

 

Also care when storing this furniture in the winter will add to it's life expectancy. Indoor storage is best, but not always possible. If winter storage is outdoor, then one of the many specialised garden furniture covers will provide protection from the elements.

With such a range of garden furniture on the British market today, it is hard to imagine that there is a cover designed for almost every single item or group of items.
